This Privacy Policy explains how Race Protocol, a business name of Penndale Road Performance LLC ("Race Protocol," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, place an order, or use our shop services.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact information: name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, and phone number
- Account information: if you create an account on our website, your username and password, phone number, email address, and the vehicle information you save to your account
- Order information: products purchased, order history, return requests, and messages you send us
- Vehicle information: basic vehicle details, modification lists, and photos you share with us, for example to check fitment or plan shop services
- Payment information: entered at checkout and handled by Shopify and its payment partners. Race Protocol does not receive or store your payment card number.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and usage information: your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and how you use our website. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies used by Shopify and Google Analytics.
How we use your information
- To process, ship, and track orders, and to handle returns, warranty claims, and shipping insurance claims
- To provide shop services and communicate with you about your vehicle
- To answer your questions and provide customer service
- To set up and maintain your account, including the vehicle information you save to it
- To verify orders and prevent fraud
- To keep accounting and tax records
- To understand how our website is used and improve it
- To send marketing messages, only if you choose to receive them
- To comply with the law
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Shopify, which runs our online store and processes payments
- Website hosting providers, which host our website and store account information on our behalf
- Shipping carriers and shipping insurance providers, to deliver orders and handle claims
- Manufacturers and distributors, when they ship an order directly to you or process a return or warranty claim. We share your name, shipping address, and order details for this purpose.
- QuickBooks (Intuit), which we use for accounting and bookkeeping
- Google Analytics, which helps us understand how our website is used
- Legal authorities or other parties, when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights or prevent fraud
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from Shopify and Google Analytics to keep the store working, remember your cart, and understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the store may not work without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Marketing messages
We only send marketing emails and text messages to customers who choose to receive them. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, and you will be able to stop marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send messages about your orders, such as confirmations and shipping updates.
Your account
You can create an account on our website. Your account stores your username, phone number, email address, and vehicle information. You can update this information or disable your account at any time in your account settings. To have your account deleted, contact us. We will delete your account and personal information, except for records we must keep for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.
Reviewing and updating your information
You can review and update your account information by logging in. You can also contact us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
How long we keep information
We keep customer and order records for 5 years, then delete them, unless a longer period is required by law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and products are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. If we make significant changes, we will also notify customers by email or with a notice on our website.
