POLICIES

Terms of Service

Effective date: October 16, 2026

About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Race Protocol website and to any purchase of products or shop services from Race Protocol. Race Protocol is a business name of Penndale Road Performance LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. In these Terms, "Race Protocol," "we," "us," and "our" mean Penndale Road Performance LLC. "You" and "your" mean the person using the site, placing an order, or authorizing shop services.

By using this site, placing an order, or authorizing shop services, you agree to these Terms and to our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and Privacy Policy. At checkout, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to these policies. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or authorize shop services.

Product names, brand names, logos, product images, and product descriptions provided by manufacturers remain the property of their owners. They appear on this site to identify the products we sell. Their use does not mean that the brand owner sponsors or endorses Race Protocol, unless we say so.

You may view, download, and print site content for your personal reference and for purchasing from Race Protocol. You may not copy, publish, distribute, modify, sell, or otherwise use site content for any other purpose without our written permission. Downloading content does not transfer any ownership of it to you.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Order acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept, refuse, or cancel any order at any time, including after your payment has been authorized. Reasons may include limited product availability, errors in product or pricing information, or concerns found during our fraud review. Our team may contact you by phone or email to verify information before we process your order. Please give us accurate contact information; orders with invalid contact information may be canceled.

For your first order with us, we ship only to the billing address of the payment card used. Orders with a different shipping address may be delayed while our team reviews them.

Some manufacturers restrict where their products can be sold or shipped. If we cannot ship a product to your location, our team will contact you.

Pricing and typographical errors

We work to keep prices, product details, and shipping costs accurate, but errors can happen. If we find an error in the price or description of a product you ordered, we may cancel the order or contact you for instructions before it ships. If actual shipping costs differ from what was quoted, we may contact you with revised shipping options. Prices and availability may change without notice.

Payment

When you place an order, your payment card is authorized for the full order amount, and the charge is completed when your order is processed for shipment. If an order is canceled before it is charged, we release the authorization. Your bank typically removes the hold within 5 to 7 business days.

Payments are processed through Shopify and its payment partners. Race Protocol does not store your payment card number. If our checkout offers an option to save your payment information for future purchases, that information is stored by the payment provider under its own terms, not by Race Protocol.

Canceling an order

  • In-stock items: You may cancel at no charge until a shipping label has been created for your order.
  • Special-order and drop-shipped items: You may cancel at no charge until we submit the order to the manufacturer. After that, whether the order can be canceled depends on the manufacturer's policy.

To cancel, call or email us as soon as possible. Once an order can no longer be canceled, you may be able to return it under our Returns and Refunds Policy.

Competition-use products

All products sold by Race Protocol are intended only for vehicles used exclusively in sanctioned, organized competition events, amateur or professional, on closed-course or open-course tracks. They are not intended or sold for use on public roads or highways, or for recreational off-road use.

Our products are not certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for use on emissions-controlled vehicles, and many are not legal for use on vehicles registered or operated on public roads.

By purchasing from Race Protocol, you confirm that:

  • You will install and use the products only on a vehicle used solely for competition
  • You will not install the products on any vehicle registered or operated on public roads
  • Your purchase, installation, and use of the products comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • You understand that using these products on a public road may violate federal, state, or local law, including emissions and motor vehicle laws
  • You understand that these products may void or affect a vehicle manufacturer's warranty
  • You understand that these products may make a vehicle unsafe for normal use, and that improper installation, improper use, or use with incompatible components can cause property damage, serious injury, or death

Do not purchase these products if you intend to use them on a vehicle driven on public roads.

You are responsible for knowing the laws that apply to you. If you are unsure whether a product is legal where you live, check with your state's environmental or emissions agency, your state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), or local law enforcement before ordering.

Shop services

This section applies to shop services you schedule or authorize with Race Protocol, whether through this site, by phone, or at our shop. Shop services include, but are not limited to, dyno tuning, engine control unit (ECU) and electronics work, wiring, fabrication, inspections, alignment, and corner balancing. Your written estimate or work order also applies. If it conflicts with these Terms, the estimate or work order controls for that job.

  • Estimates and authorization. We provide an estimate before starting work. Estimates are based on what we know before the work begins. If we find that a job will cost more than the estimate, we will contact you for approval before continuing.
  • Competition vehicles only. Work that changes engine calibration, emissions equipment, or other regulated systems is performed only on vehicles used solely for competition. By authorizing that work, you confirm that the vehicle is used only for competition and will not be operated on public roads.
  • Customer-supplied parts. We may install parts you supply. Race Protocol does not warrant those parts and is not responsible for their fit, condition, or failure, or for the labor needed to remove or replace them.
  • Testing under load. Dyno tuning, testing, and inspections operate your vehicle under load. Testing can reveal existing wear, defects, or weaknesses that were not visible before. Race Protocol is not responsible for failures caused by existing wear or defects, or by components that were already near the end of their service life.
  • Warranty. Race Protocol does not provide a separate written warranty on shop services. Parts we supply carry only the manufacturer's warranty, if any. If you have a concern about work we performed, contact us and we will review it with you.
  • Payment and pickup. Payment is due when the work is complete and before the vehicle is released. Vehicles not picked up within [number] days after we notify you that work is complete may be charged a storage fee of [amount] per day.
  • Personal items. Please remove valuables and personal items before dropping off your vehicle. Race Protocol is not responsible for items left in vehicles.

Product warranties

Race Protocol does not provide its own warranty on products. Any warranty on a product we sell is provided by its manufacturer, and the manufacturer's terms control. Many manufacturers do not warrant parts used in racing or competition, electrical parts once installed, or parts that were improperly installed or maintained.

Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover damage caused by negligence, improper installation, lack of maintenance, abuse, misuse, accidents, exposure to extreme conditions such as water or fire, or use of a product for a purpose it was not designed for.

Defective products. If a product arrives defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will handle it under our Returns and Refunds Policy. After 30 days, warranty claims are handled by the manufacturer. Our team can manage a warranty claim with the manufacturer for you for a service fee, which we will quote before we begin.

Vehicle warranties. Installing aftermarket parts may affect your vehicle manufacturer's warranty coverage. Race Protocol makes no representation that installing or using our products will not affect any existing warranty on your vehicle.

Implied warranties. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RACE PROTOCOL DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some states do not allow implied warranties to be excluded, so this exclusion may not apply to you.

Assumption of risk, indemnification, and limitation of liability

Assumption of risk

Modifying a vehicle and competing in motorsport are dangerous. You purchase, install, and use products, and authorize shop services, at your own risk. Race Protocol makes no representation that any product will prevent injury or death or protect anyone from injury or death.

You are responsible for properly installing, using, and maintaining both factory and aftermarket parts on your vehicle. We strongly recommend that you do not remove factory safety equipment from any vehicle, and that you follow all manufacturer warnings and instructions. Race Protocol is not responsible for the use of products by anyone you lend, give, or sell them to.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Race Protocol and its owners, employees, agents, and suppliers from any claims, losses, damages, fines, penalties, and costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from:

  • Your installation or use of products purchased from Race Protocol
  • Your use of any product on a public road or otherwise in violation of law
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Use of a product by anyone you lend, give, or sell it to

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Race Protocol is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of use, inconvenience, or commercial loss, arising from the purchase or use of, or inability to use, any product or service. This applies even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to a product or service will not exceed the amount you paid for that product or service.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

General terms

  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
  • Disputes. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any legal action related to these Terms, the site, or any purchase must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to orders placed and services authorized after the new effective date.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce part of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, Privacy Policy, and any estimate or work order for shop services, are the entire agreement between you and Race Protocol about their subject.
